From One Diary to Ten Million Stories

We often talk about the "Park to Pillow" journey as a local mission. We see Mum teaching Rusty his wrestling moves in the grass, or we track Limpy’s recovery progress, and it feels like a private world. But the reality is much larger.

There are an estimated 600 million stray cats navigating our world right now. 🌍

When you look at that number, it’s easy to feel small. It’s easy to feel like one person feeding a colony in a park is just a drop in the ocean. But here is the truth we’ve learned at Cat Shelter Diaries: The drop is the ocean.

The Isolation of the Caretaker

Most people who look after community cats do it in silence. You’re the one out there at 6:00 AM with the heated water bowls. You’re the one tracking the ear-tips and the limps. It can be isolating, and sometimes, it can feel like you’re the only one who cares.

You aren’t.

A New Chapter for CatShelterDiaries.com

We are shifting our focus. While we will always share the stories of our local colony, we want to give your colonies a home, too. We are building a Global Community Roster - a place where caretakers from around the world can:

  • Share "Field Notes": Real-world advice on TNR, medical recovery, and colony management.

  • Spotlight Success: A permanent gallery for the "Anchor Cats" you protect every day.

  • Bridge the Gap: Moving more cats from the "Park" to the "Pillow" through shared resources.

Join the Movement

Our latest video—"Mom vs Son: Wrestling Training Round 1"—showed the joy and the resilience of these animals. That spirit exists in every colony, in every city.

We aren't just a diary anymore. We are a collective.

Does your local colony have an "Anchor Cat" like Mum? We want to meet them. Head over to our new Community section and share your win of the week. Let’s turn 600 million strays into 600 million success stories, one "Round" at a time.
